Ms. Sunita Matoo

Principal

Mrs. Matoo is a professionally qualified postgraduate in Physics. she has a rich experience of 33 years. She began her career as a physics teacher in 1989 in one of the top schools in Srinagar Kashmir. She continued her journey of teaching in Delhi and Surat. She has been associated with AMNS International School (earlier Essar International School) since its inception in 1994 and took over as principal in 2001.

As an educationist - having a progressive and inclusive thought process, being assertive, diligent and a lifelong learner along with the ability to carry her team along are some of the qualities that are deeply embedded in her.

The ethos of the school is built on the foundation of a strong value system wherein the student and teacher community together strive to embark upon the path that makes them true global citizens. Mrs. Matoo provides ample opportunities to both teachers and students to nurture their potential. She leads the school as a visionary and plays a key role supporting their growth and achievements. She is a leader who inspires to dream more learn more do more and become more.

Awards and accolades:

She was conferred with the National Award for Best principal in 2013 by the former president Dr. Pranab Mukherjee. Ms. Matoo was also acknowledged as the Best Educationist by Prabudh Educational Trust. She has been appointed as the city coordinator by the Central Board of Secondary Education India (CBSE). She was invited by Bethany School USA to exchange Teaching – Learning Pedagogy.

Under her leadership the school has been conferred with many prestigious awards such as British Council Award for giving international dimension to the curriculum, Best School by the Education Today and so on.

Ms. Rashmi Dewan

Coordinator and HOD English

Qualification - M.A.(English), B.Ed

Date of Joining - 06-08-1996

Ms. Rashmi Dewan has been working with the school since 1996.
She is a self-motivated educator who creates umpteen opportunities for students to nurture their curricular skills in public speaking, dramatics, debating, podcasting, creative writing and so on. Ms. Dewan coauthored Global Citizenship Education Handbook by Regional Institute of Education Bhopal. She has initiated TED Ed Club in the school. She provides global exposure to students by collaborating their learning with schools from different countries through various platforms like British Council, USIEF-IREX, Pen pal project, Ted Ed Connect and through the global citizenship programs led by UNESCO. As a prolific resource person, she conducts in-service workshops for the department of English and works towards creating opportunities of professional growth for her colleagues. She coordinates the school functions.

Achievements:

Ms. Dewan is a fulbright alumna as she qualified to attend Eurasia South-East Asia Teaching Excellence and Achievement Programme in USA by IREX (International Research and Exchanges Board USA) in association with USEFI – Fulbright India.
She was invited as a resource person to conduct workshop for Maharashtra English teachers’ association and at the Global Citizenship Education Foundation conference in New Delhi at national level. She is also an IIHM Teachers Award winner 2023.       

She led a team of students in June 2026 to Poland-Czech republic representing the school at an International Cultural Festival.

Mr. Subrato Dutta

Coordinator and HOD Sports

Qualification - M.P.Ed

Date of Joining - 20-02-1995

Mr. Dutta joined this institution in 1995. He is an enthusiastic physical Education facilitator. He passionately teaches and trains the students and motivates them to take part in various disciplines of sports. Due to his unparalleled involvement the students have honed their sporting skills and have displayed their talent at district, state and national level. He leads the NCC Unit of the school. He is a trained ANO (Associate NCC Officer) who was awarded as one of the best officer in India by the NCC Army Wing at Officers Training Academy Kamptee. Mr Dutta helps in District Administration in coordinating KHEL MAHAKUMBH.

Ms. Sonal Bhave

Coordinator and HOD Science

Qualification - M.Sc. (Botany), B.Ed.

Date of Joining - 07-10-1998

Ms. Bhave is Science coordinator who has a sound knowledge of her subject and generates curiosity for her subject among the students. She was selected for Fulbright Nehru Fellowship Programme and attended the teacher exchange program in the USA for six months. She coordinated the British Council projects undertaken by the school for International Dimensions in curriculum. She reviews lesson plans and provides feedback to the teachers of her department. She also conducts workshops to strengthen her department.

Ms. Razia Sultana

Coordinator and HOD Mathematics

Qualification - M.SC.(Applied Mathematics), B.Ed

Date of Joining - 18-06-2001

Ms. Razia Sultana, the co-author of a handbook on Enhancing Pedagogical Practices in Mathematics published by School of Education, Central University of Jammu, enriches her department by guiding them to strengthen the concepts of Mathematics and its application in daily life among students. She works closely with the principal for the yearly academic plan and formulates assessment criteria for the school. She is the admission in charge. She is a good mentor to motivate, to guide and to render help to students. Students readily confide in her as she provides them emotional support. She also conducts workshops to strengthen her department.

She is also the winner of the IIHM Teachers Award 2024.

Mr. Rahul Pradhan

Coordinator - Mathematics and Science (Primary Section)

Qualification - M.SC Mathematics, B. Ed

Date of Joining - 02-06-2010

Mr. Rahul Pradhan is an enthusiastic facilitator. Every year he organises leadership camps and coordinates educational tours and field trips for students. He leads learning Fiesta which encourages students to participate in various curricular and co-curricular competitions. As a head of the department, he provides regular suggestions and feedback to elevate teaching learning process. He is a certified career counsellor and is establishing a career counselling cell in the school.

Ms. Jayshree Gopalkrishnan

Coordinator Social Science

Qualification - M.A.(History), B.Ed.

Date of Joining - 12-06-2006

Ms. Jayshree is a creative and resourceful facilitator. She guides her department for incorporating innovative teaching strategies for making teaching learning process interesting and relevant. As an inhouse resource person she conducts workshops to strengthen her department. She has initiated Mock parliament and Model United Nations (MUN) Club in the school. This platform has enhanced the global knowledge among the students. She gives valuable inputs in the school functions.

Mr. Shreedhar KS

HOD Commerce

Qualification - M.Com, B.Ed.

Date of Joining - 01-09-2007

Mr Shreedhar - a composed teacher who makes learning of commerce subjects significant for the students by helping fuel new insights and understanding in his field. He is instrumental in organizing educational field trips for students especially to National Stock Exchange (NSC). He is also a financial Education Resource person certified by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
