AMNS International School Repeats Dominance at SGFI with 89 State-Level Selections

With 27 gold, 13 silver, and 13 bronze medals, our school, has secured a remarkable 89 State-level qualifiers at this year’s School Games Federation of India (SGFI) District Championships. The school once again reaffirmed its position as a sporting powerhouse. Adding to this achievement, AMNSIS clinched the District Basketball Championship in all four categories: Under-14 Girls, Under-14 Boys, Under-17 Girls, and Under-17 Boys. The school also lifted the District Football Championship, winning across boys’ and girls’ teams in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 groups.

In aquatic events, the swimming team delivered a spectacular performance, earning 10 gold medals led by standout athletes Preet Bhojwani (10-C), Shaurya Bhagat (11-B), and Namya Pandya (9-A). The racquet sports division saw equal success, with lawn tennis players Fiona Patel (7-E) and B. Santhravadhani (10-B) leading their team to state qualifications, while table tennis star Anvika Goyal (11-B) secured the Under-17 Girls' title.

Combat sports contributed significantly to the medal tally, with karate champions Jess Rodrigues (8-B) and Kanishk Agrawal (9-B) earning gold medals, and Aarav Kasture (9-A) claiming top honors in taekwondo. The badminton team, led by gold medalist Deepanshi Bhardwaj (12-B), and chess qualifier Kiyana Patel (8-C) further solidified the school's all-round sporting excellence.

The football program emerged as the largest contributor to the state team with 46 selections, while basketball added another 22 athletes to the contingent.

Principal Ms. Sunita Matoo commended the achievements, stating, "This outstanding performance reflects our commitment to holistic education and sports excellence. Our young athletes have demonstrated remarkable discipline and teamwork, and we look forward to their continued success at the state level."
