AMNSIS Delegates Bring Home Top Honours at IIMUN Surat 2025

26-Apr-2025

From debating human rights in Gaza to proposing real solutions for period poverty and political transparency, AMNSIS students didn’t just participate at the IIMUN Surat Conference 2025—they led from the front.

Held at The Millennium School on April 26th, the conference brought together student delegates from across the city to simulate the workings of international committees, including the UNHRC, UN Women, and AIPPM. Representing countries and public figures, students researched, debated, and drafted resolutions on some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

Among the 15 delegates from AMNSIS, six were awarded for their outstanding performance:

  • Best Delegate: Meet Agarwal (X-B, AIPPM) — for leading a sharp debate on electoral reforms and preventing horse-trading
  • Best Delegate: Harsha Nahar (XI-Commerce, UNW) — for presenting a powerful policy framework on tackling period poverty
  • Best Delegate: Santhravadini (X-B, UNHRC) — for passionately addressing human rights violations in Israel and Palestine
  • High Commendation: Harshita Nahar (XI-Commerce, UNW)
  • Special Mention: Vaishnavi Pandey (X-A, UNW)
  • Verbal Mention: Vihaan Gupta (VIII-C, UNW)

This experience wasn’t about winning alone—it was about thinking critically, speaking boldly, and understanding how global problems require empathy, clarity, and action.

We are proud of every delegate for representing AMNSIS with confidence, intellect, and a strong sense of purpose.
