AMNSIS Parenting Workshop Builds Empathy and Understanding

06-Aug-2026

AMNS International School conducted the parenting workshop “Little Hands, Big Hearts” on 06 August 2026, organised by the Wellness Department for LKG parents, to support a deeper understanding of children’s emotional and developmental needs.

Through interactive scenarios, prompts and reflection, the workshop explored behaviour as communication, learning through observation, the importance of free play and independence, and acceptance of individual differences. Parents were encouraged to look beyond behaviour, understand the need behind it, and model positive responses in everyday interactions.

The session also highlighted the importance of giving children age-appropriate opportunities to explore, make choices and solve problems independently, while respecting their individual temperament and developmental pace rather than comparing them with others.

The workshop concluded with the guiding thought “Pause–Think–Respond”, encouraging parents to approach children with greater empathy, curiosity and awareness.
