On Saturday, the school campus was bustling with enthusiasm as the Knowledge Fest for Classes I to IV opened its doors to parents and visitors. The young students, full of bright energy, confidently took on the role of teachers for a day.
Class I welcomed the audience with rhymes and songs in Hindi under the theme “आओ चलें हमारी प्यारी दुनिया में”. Tiny voices recited poetry on dolls, gardens, and family life, even creating dolls to match their poems. “The Magical English Garden”, where grammar rules were turned into drama. EVS showed “Patterns in Real Life”, from plants to animals, while Maths explored “Shapes in the Real World”. Children spoke of cities having patterns and shapes, even linked yoga to geometry.
Class II brought stories to the stage. Hindi presented “सुनो कहानी”, with Akbar–Birbal tales and the bravery of Shivaji Maharaj. English learners showcased reader’s theatre, mono-acting, and even a drama on “Stinky Tofu,” weaving words into stories. EVS unfolded “The Wonder Called Water” through experiments on floating, capillary action, and water harvesting. Maths reminded everyone that time is more than numbers, from sundials to smart clocks.
Class III went traditional with cowrie games and indigenous sports. Parents joined their children in playing kabaddi, marbles, hopscotch, kho-kho, seven stones, and more. These forgotten games filled the ground with laughter and nostalgia.
Class IV staged larger ideas. In English, students acted out the story of language, from Roman letters to parts of speech, with music and an “adjective dance.” Social Science celebrated the Gates and Forts of India with models and folk dance. Science stalls displayed simple machines and toys, with Warli art showing their village use. Maths traced the History of Money, from stones to digital currency, and even explained banking and investments. Hindi ended the day with a “Cartoon Character Sabha”, where beloved characters debated their moral lessons.
Every corner of the school buzzed with creativity and learning. Parents moved from room to room, surprised at how well the youngest children could explain such big concepts.
The Knowledge Fest stood as proof that learning can be joyful, collaborative, and deeply rooted in both tradition and modernity.
