AMNS International School celebrated a significant success at the AM/NS India Times Critical Thinking Championship 2026, with Viraj Kartik (V-B) and Myra Agarwal (III-D) emerging as among the three National Winners in Tier I (Classes III–V) held on 19 September 2026 in New Delhi.
Organised by the Times Foundation in partnership with ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), the national championship brought together students from different parts of India challenging them to apply reasoning, analysis, problem-solving and evidence-based thinking. Participants were required to interpret information, evaluate possibilities and arrive at logical conclusions rather than rely on rote responses.
10,06,922 students were assessed across 24,706 schools from different parts of India. The intense selection process shortlisted 140 students for written and oral assessments, followed by 36 participants in the buzzer rounds. After the semi-final and final rounds, nine students emerged as winners across the three tiers, with Viraj and Myra securing two of the three places in Tier I.
At the Nav Ratna Prize Distribution Ceremony, the winners were felicitated by Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Ms Aruna Goenka.
Viraj and Myra received a certificate, memento and laptop in recognition of their accomplishment.
Their success places AMNSIS among the schools represented at the highest level of a national platform that celebrates young minds for thinking beyond the obvious.
