At AMNS International School, growth is a continuous journey — for students and educators alike. On 31 January 2026, teachers participated in an enriching training session. The programme was led by esteemed experts from ICTRC — Mr. Aditya Nayar and Professor Keshav Singh who offered powerful insights into understanding student behaviour with empathy and structure.
The sessions encouraged teachers to rethink discipline — not as punishment, but as guidance. A key reflection: challenging behaviour often signals unmet needs or developing skills, not defiance. From building structured discipline frameworks to recognising temperament differences, the focus remained on responding thoughtfully rather than reacting emotionally.
Teachers were introduced to research-backed strategies that shift the approach from casual to causal — understanding that every behaviour serves a purpose. Practical tools like Monthly Minute Meetings (MMM), rewarding small improvements, and fostering incremental growth reinforced the idea that meaningful change takes patience and consistency.
The powerful framework of Regulate – Relate – Reason and the collaborative model of “My Way, Your Way, Our Way” highlighted the importance of dialogue, dignity, and partnership in the classroom.
The programme was a reminder that effective discipline is rooted in respect — ensuring every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
Because at AMNSIS, we believe discipline is not about control — it is about connection
