It is always a proud moment when teenagers step out of their comfort zones and take over the stage. On June 22, our tenth-grade music students did exactly that, bringing their very own original beats to life at AMNS International School Surat.
The hall was packed with energy as these young musicians played everything from guitars to driving drum beats. What made the event truly special was seeing them perform songs they wrote and composed entirely on their own. Grade 10A closed their set with a vibrant track called Paint it back theme Colour. Grade 10B fired up the crowd with Aag Jagi Jeet ki. Grade 10C completely captured our hearts with a thoughtful song titled मंजिल की तलाश.
This intraschool band competition was really about teamwork and unity. Watching the students collaborate and support each other on stage was exactly what we hoped to achieve. Our two wonderful guest judges: architect and jazz saxophonist Mr Soneda, alongside proud school alumnus and music industry professional Akriti Sinha, were absolutely amazed by the raw talent and showered the bands with praise.
Seeing our students command the stage with such confidence is a deeply rewarding experience for us as educators. It is a beautiful reminder of what happens when we give kids the space to create together.
